Response to COVID19 Pandemic

Like you, we at Z Mandolins are adjusting to the many disruptions to our daily lives that are now necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy.

Due to concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the safety of our customers, employees and our luthier is Z Mandolin’s highest priority. We also want to do our part to lessen the strain on those affected. There is now an unprecedented burden on the delivery supply chain — resulting in shipment delays, technical glitches, and labor shortages. This has precipitated the decision to temporarily suspend shipments so that the postal service can prioritize household staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products.

Please remember we are only “temporarily paused” on shipments and we are still able to take orders for our limited-edition Z Mandolins.

We will continue to follow the lead of our federal and state elected officials and take the necessary steps recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as we navigate the situation.

We appreciate your understanding while we try to assist in the efforts to ease the burdens of those working so hard to keep us safe and healthy.

– Lee Zapis – Z Mandolins Founder

At Z MANDOLINS we dreamed that fabled instrument designer and sound engineer Lloyd Loar got together with the legendary industrial and product designer Viktor Schreckengost to design a mandolin. We imagine that the new Z MANDOLIN is what they would have come up with.

Carbon fiber ZMANDOLINS are durable, lightweight and produce sound that is resonant, clear and projects in every direction. They are resistant to changes in humidity and temperature and are consistent in tone.

With an elegant and modern design, the Z MANDOLIN will appeal to the player with a love of tradition and an eye towards the future.

At Z Mandolins, our mission is to foster creativity while changing lives.

We are proud to say that — for every mandolin sold — Z Mandolins will make a $1000 donation to the continued funding of creative scholarship programs. Current recipients include programs such as the Lee & Ageleke Zapis Songwriting Scholarship at Belmont University and The International Bluegrass Music Association Foundation Scholarship endowment fund.
